The four things that set your price
1. Your panel
Spare capacity on a modern 200-amp panel keeps things simple. A full or 100-amp panel may need a load-managed charger or an upgrade — the biggest single cost variable.
2. The wiring run
A charger mounted near the panel is a short, simple run. Across the house, through an attic, or out to a detached garage costs more in copper and labor.
3. The charger itself
A NEMA 14-50 outlet with your own plug-in charger is the budget path. A hardwired smart charger or Tesla Wall Connector costs more and charges faster.
4. Permits & inspection
Permit fees vary by city. Ours are handled for you and shown in the quote — never buried.

Rebates and incentives can take a real bite out of the total — utility programs, San Joaquin Valley air-district incentives, and state or federal credits depending on what's active. Programs open and close, so at quote time we check everything you qualify for and help with the paperwork.

What makes one install cost more than another?
Four things: whether your panel has capacity, how far the charger is from the panel, which charger you choose, and permit/inspection requirements. A short run on a 200-amp panel is the simplest job; a long run on a full 100-amp panel with an upgrade is the biggest.

Yes — the quote follows an assessment of your actual home, and it's transparent and itemized. If we find something unexpected once walls are open, we stop and discuss it before any extra work happens.
