How do I know if my panel can handle an EV charger?
We run a load calculation on your existing service — panel size, what's already on it, and the charger you want. Many 200-amp panels are fine; many 100-amp panels need an upgrade or a load-managed charger. The assessment answers it before you spend anything.
What does a panel upgrade involve?
We replace your main electrical panel (commonly 100A → 200A), coordinate the permit and inspection, and restore power the same day in most cases. Your EV circuit can be installed in the same visit or right after.
Can a charger be installed without a full panel upgrade?
Often, yes — a smaller circuit setting, a smart load-management device, or a lower-amp charger can keep a tight panel within code. If an upgrade is genuinely the safer path, we'll show you the load numbers and why.
